Julie Chen Moonves will host the popular reality show that has been a summer sensation Big Brother. The show will return to CBS on August 5 for its second season. Chen Moonves has been an integral part of The Talk since 2010, when she was both moderator and host. The real reason she was interested in the show came after she started writing, and was awarded an Emmy. Her hosting an exceptional entertainment talk show has earned her another Emmy. The Talk is a show which analyzes current affairs by having five host. Chen Moonves co-hosted CBS Newsthe weekday morning show The Early Show in 2002 in 2010 and then became the host of the talk show. Prior to that, she served as the news anchor of The Early Show and anchor of the CBS Morning News, the CBS Television Network's early-morning, half-hour broadcast.Chen Moonves was a reporter on a variety of major storylines on The Early Show, including the war in 2003 Iraq. Following the attacks of 9/11 Chen Moonves uncovered the father and lead hijacker for a thrilling and exclusive interview. Chen Moonves is a journalist who has worked alongside newsmakers like the former New York City City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Queen Rania, the former defense secretary William Cohen and Denzel Washington. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program. She profiled stars like Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White, Jamie Foxx Katie Holmes, Scarlett Johansson, Matthew McConaughey, Mel Brooks, Robert deNiro and Jennifer Lopez. Before joining CBS News, Chen Moonves worked as a reporter at WDTN-TV dayton (1995-1997). She also was a reporter for ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. Her first job was as an assistant for ABC News, working on the late-night show Nightline with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains among Moonves' journalistic idols. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel in the production of the award-winning Columbia du-Pont special Anatomy of a Riot which focused on events surrounding the Los Angeles riots of '92.
